Apex Bulk Commodities is committed to safety!
Its the safety of our employees, customers, and the general public,
that is key to running our trucking company.
Our drivers must meet a set of minimum requirements before we will even
consider them for employment. Each applicant must complete a pre-employment
physical and drug test as well as a Federal D.O.T. medical and drug
test.
Before being hired we request DACs, review current MVRs and perform
employment verifications. We then put our drivers into our rigorous
safety and pneumatic process training class where all drivers are taught
the importance of safety and what it means to the company, as well as
employee harassment, disciplinary action, company policies, and loading
and unloading training.
To make this work we run quarterly safety meetings, bi-weekly safety
newsletter, safety/performance program, road and on-site observations,
internal safety audits, safety recognition program, customer on-site
safety policy, injury and illness prevention plan, and a DriveCam system
in every truck to keep our drivers safe as well as the public. It is
management's responsibility to provide a safe working environment for
all employees.
It is each employee's responsibility to comply with all Company and
regulatory agency requirements governing the operation of Apex Bulk
Commodities. Safety will take precedence over expediency or shortcuts.
